With July now in the rearview mirror, we now turn our attention to the next big first party Switch 2 game, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, which doesn't release until next month.
Despite the lack of releases this month, it's not like Nintendo's gonna sit back until September, and they're kicking off August's news with 20 minutes of information on the aforementioned Fortune's Weave.
Indeed, a Nintendo Direct focused on the newest entry in the niche-yet-beloved Fire Emblem series was announced earlier today, and goes live tomorrow morning at 7AM PT/10AM ET, running for approximately 20 minutes.
Personally, I don't currently plan on picking up Fortune's Weave at launch next month for a couple of reasons, including the price ($80 for a physical copy!), my lack of previous experience and investment in the series, and the simple fact that it's really hard to make time for lengthy RPGs these days, which I believe many Fire Emblem games are. If I'm wrong about that, that just speaks to my lack of knowledge about the series.
Regardless, I do plan on checking this presentation out, as I do love a good game-specific Direct. Perhaps this presentation will sway me into taking the plunge and making Fortune's Weave my first Fire Emblem game, but we'll see. No matter what, I'll be sure to cover all the new information (or as much as I can) in a post here sometime after the presentation, so keep an eye out for that! Even if it doesn't interest me that much, I do hope those of you who are FE fans and looking forward to this game enjoy tomorrow's presentation!
