Happy Nintendo Music...... Tuesday???!!! What in the world is going on here?!
Oh it's that Fire Emblem thing I know nothing about? Huh. Neat.
For a franchise I've hardly ever engaged with, I sure have typed 'Fire Emblem' a lot in the last 24 hours. Not that I'm complaining, it's presented an interesting challenge, trying to do the best I can to cover the series despite my lack of knowledge so I'm not just picking and choosing what Nintendo topics I cover on this blog. I'd prefer to make an effort and get something horribly wrong than ignore the franchise entirely. And I do want to get into it someday! I'm just unsure if Fortune's Weave will be my gateway due to certain circumstances.
Regardless, I did touch on it in my Fortune's Weave Direct recap (which you can check out here, #shamelessplus), but because Nintendo Music is so important to me, I wanted to make sure to spotlight this.
We've received our third Special Release in just over a month, this time, obviously, for Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, which launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 next month. Announced at the end of today's Fortune's Weave Direct, it's a collection of 10 tracks that total 30 minutes of music from the upcoming title.
The tracklist contains the game's main theme, a couple remixes of iconic Fire Emblem songs, and what I assume are the main themes of the 4 playable heroes. I've listened to them all, and it's undeniably some good stuff. In particular, I really like Cai's theme, 'True to His Colors'. I'm a sucker for that kind of instrumentation. Heck, all the character themes are really good.
I do enjoy Fire Emblem's music, even if I don't play the games, with Engage's soundtrack in particular having quite a few stand outs. And based on this sampling, Fortune's Weave seems set to add another stellar OST to the franchise's portfolio, which is plenty fine by me.
This does likely mean we won't get a Thursday drop this week, meaning things will be quiet for a bit until the Mario Kart World drop next Monday. I don't know how I'll survive the great Five Day Nintendo Music Drought of August 2026, but I'll find a way!
